We have found the services of HARVIC Residential Property Management Ltd and staff to be of excellent quality.

Since placing our initial property in their hands some five years ago, we have in fact extended their coverage to other properties. They keep us fully up to date with current situations concerning our properties and we find less down time between property tenancies than experienced in the past.

Being away from Wellington and being able to control the quality of both the properties and the tenants was becoming more difficult as time went on. This is no longer the case.

By agreement, minor maintenance and urgent repairs are undertaken immediately, with advice following, whilst those matters that are less urgent or more extensive are undertaken following consultation. We have found their suggestions during discussions to be extremely helpful and open.

As we are based overseas we were always very concerned about who we appointed to manage our rental properties as we had been burnt badly before by a very unprofessional management company.

I would recommend Harvic Property Management to anyone who cares about their home and is looking for a property manager who shares their values. Colin and Jude looked after our home for a year. During that time they identified excellent tenants for us and made sure the house was returned to us in immaculate condition. Walking back into the house after a year away from it was a very positive experience for me. I definitely felt like I had come home and that someone had cared very well for the house in my absence.

I always had enough information from Harvic to know that everything was going well. Colin is very pragmatic about maintenance and just got on with doing what was necessary rather than feeling the need to contact me and then wait for a decision.

At the heart of Colin and Jude’s great service is their empathy. They both made a huge effort to understand what was important to me about our home. Consequently, I felt very happy to hand over responsibility to them. I have to say, I wish we could justify retaining their services on a permanent basis. In looking for someone we could trust to look after our property we approached about 5 organisations. All sourced from knowledge of Wgtn or the Internet. We wanted someone who would manage the property as their own, and do this on a mutually acceptable commercial basis. Frankly on initial approach only 3 of the five even understood what we were asking. Only 1 delivered the information we asked for within the time frame promised. You guessed it, Colin and Jude.

The brief we asked them to take on was complicated with a number of side issues. They have delivered in every respect, from selecting suppliers, obtaining competitive bids and managing supplier performance through a complete internal refurbishment of the property. They have now placed tenants in the property very promptly at an appropriate market rent.

We could only give them a highly commended rating for their performance, honesty and integrity is great, commercial approach is great, communication is great.

We have other property outside of Wgtn, which is managed by a different party (large national organisation) so we have direct comparison. Colin and Jude do the better job.

We, Camille and Steve, have been tenants of Harvic Residential Property Management for two years. From day one when we first viewed our first property with them, we found them to be very professional and friendly but most of all very down to earth and understanding.

Unfortunately after just 1 year, the owners of the first property wanted their house back and Harvic Residential Property Management dealt with this in a very once again professional but down to earth way and they also happened to have another house that was available. They said we could have it if it was what we were after.

We took it and have lived in this property for 1 year. With both homes we have just needed to ring or e-mail with problems and they are dealt with straight away. Harvic Residential Property Management even offered us their personal home to shower when we had a gas problem and no hot water.

Sadly we will no longer be tenants of Harvic Residential Property Management soon, as the owners of this property are selling their house. We would recommend Harvic Residential Property Management to any tenants looking for a rental property.

I would like to say that Harvic has been the most easy going and approachable landlords that we have had to deal with as tenants.

When we were first looking to move out of the central city Harvic assisted us in finding the house that would suit our needs and when the time came to sign the lease, all the information was at hand and easy to follow. From then on we could approach Harvic with anything and they respected your privacy giving ample time and notice for property inspections etc. If any maintenance work was needed then we could just tell them, but more often than not property services, like plumbers, electricians or house cleaners, called to check out small issues that we did not know about. As tenants, we liked to have this level of comfort and appreciated it greatly. When the time came to leave, Harvic were always in contact to ensure that all of our questions were answered and gave us assistance in helping us look for a new house to rent. Our first option was to stay with Harvic due to the wonderful experiences we had had, however the rental property market just couldn’t match our needs. I know that if we ever need to have a property of our own rented, then due to the experiences of being tenants with Harvic we would easily call them first to manage our property on the other side of the fence.
